A ' Souvenir ' containing articles on the life and works of Mamoni Raisom Goswami ,recipient of the Jnanpith Awrd ,2002 was brought to make the 4th Malati Das Memorial lecture delivered by her on 04.10.01 ed Dr. Aradhana Goswami and Bhabani P. Adhikari.

G: Pandu College Physical Society

This is a society of Physics Students and guided by teachers of Physics Department. It aims in creating scientific mind among students and stresses on learning by doing .It publishes wall magazine annually, arranges freshman's social, Science exhibition, popular talks, workshops, seminars etc.

H: Pandu College Botanical Forum

Major Students of Botany are members of this forum & teachers of Botany Department work as advisors. This forum offers the opportunity to the students to involve themselves in creative work & learning by doing.It arranges for annual meet. Welcome of newcomers publication of wall magazine, arrange for excursion organizes seminars & workshops and popular talks by experts.

I: Pandu College Philosophical Society

Pandu College philosophical society was established on 2000 with the joint effort of faculty members and major students of the department. Its main aim is to provide a platform to the students and the teachers for the academic development of the field. accordingly seminars are organized to enhance knowledge in the area and induce students in group activities. In 2003 an interdisciplinary seminar was organized where Mrs Upala Barua, Dept of Anthropology, Cotton College delivered lecture on "Primitive Religious Beliefs and practices an Anthropological Approach" Prof S.N.Sharma, HOD Deptt of Philosophy G.U. consented to deliver a G.U consented to deliver a talk on "Nature and relevance of philosophy" in the last part of October.

The society is managed by major students of Chemistry under the super vision of a teacher-in-charge. The objective of this association is to create science awareness among students and at the same time develop leadership qualities and communication skills.
It publishes the annual wall magazine "checui" talk and manages an "Information Board" where features & information were provided by teachers & students & change at regular intervals. It also arranges seminars deliberated by students, arranges popular and courses related talks by experts, carry out some project works.
In the year 2003, members produced some bamboo implements of Chemistry Laboratory, which attracted notice of peer team of NAAC

A Woman's Studies center was opened in Pandu College on 24.02.04, At present the center has 47 members , both male and female , from the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college . PCWSC proposes to facilitate studies in gender issues ,empowerment of women , the history of resistance movement , the representation of women in media , folklore and literature ,. In a proposed series of lecture on various women's issues Dr. Mukti Deb Chowdhury , former principal of Cotton College , guwahati, delivered the first lecture in the series on 26.05.04. A brochure containing the abstract of her lecture women in the novels of Rabindranath Tagore ; Binodini &Damini was brought out .

PCWSC also proposes to work in the field making people aware of the existing discrepancy between sexes . It conducted a preliminary survey within the college finding out the sex ratio of (1) the teaching faculty (male 51:female 35) , (2) heads of the department ( m11: f 10), (3) teachers holding P.h.D (m14: f12) and m.phil (m4:f2) , (4) The enrolment in 22 departments in 2002-2003 etc.

PCWSC is now exploring the feasibility of undertaking any project ,individual or group on any woman's issue having immediate relevance to our society.

The College organizes North East Inter College/University Nanda Talukdar Memorial Prize Money Debate Competition & North East Inter College/University Dipul-Pranjit Memorial Prize Money Quiz Competition in association with the P.C.S.U. and teachers of the College.
